Description

For one of our clients we are looking for a Welder Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay.

A Welder Foreman plans, assigns, schedules and supervises the work of subordinate personnel, trains them and ensures that the work assigned to the team is carried out in a safe and efficient way.

Your responsibilities as a Welder Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay will be:
  • Supervise the installation, repair, and maintenance;
  • Lay out and supervising the cutting and fitting of material in preparation for welding;
  • Maintain and making repairs to welding equipment;
  • Prepare cost estimates of labor and material, order supplies, material, and equipment;
  • Prepare routine work and time reports and maintain standard records;
  • Recruit and train subordinate personnel;
  • Establish safety and work performance standards.

Requirements

The requirements for the ideal candidate for the position of Welder Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay are:
  • At least secondary vocational degree;
  • At least five years experience as welder foreman on a mayor offshore pipe lay vessel;
  • Experienced in pipe line welding, AUT and QC activities related to offshore pipe line installation;
  • Knowledge of all offshore related coded, standards and mandatory requirements i.e. EN, ISO, API and DNV Standards;
  • Extensive technical skills in pipe line production, including mechanical and electronic welding equipment, welding procedures using sub arc systems and semi/full automated systems;
  • Experienced in the identification of project specific welding and NDT requirements;
  • Leader who can train and motivate team members and is familiar with project management and material procurement and planning;
  • Flexibility and immune to stress;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • A good command of the English language;
  • Willingness to work abroad.
