Job Reference 5191 Date Posted 12/13/2011 Country Azerbaijan Closing Date 12/22/2011 City Baku Job Type Contract Job Summary Job Responsibilities: Provide discipline engineering support to offshore operations in resolving engineering, maintenance, operations, and technical integrity issues. Monitor offshore activities and lead continuous improvement optimization efforts in the mechanical and rotating equipment areas. Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFAs) for issues related to the mechanical discipline, including rotating machinery. Represent the mechanical engineering discipline in multi-discipline RCFAs, Production Upset Reports (PURs), and Incident Investigations. Respond to engineering queries and coordinate MoCs to ensure facilities are equipment are operated within the design envelopes; suggest and lead efforts to change system design as necessary. Ensure all relevant documentation for the asset is kept up to date. Work closely with vendors and contractors which are utilized to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities. Ensure that all anomalies are subject to engineering evaluation/failure analysis/fitness for purpose assessment with identification of remedial and recommended follow up actions. Advise management on issues relating to technical integrity in the areas of static mechanical equipment, rotating machinery, and valves. Provide mentoring and coaching assistance to develop junior engineers.
