Description

• Stimulate continuous improvement in HSE behaviour, knowledge and awareness, to achieve outstanding HSE performance;
• Representing the QHSE Offshore department onboard;
• Provide professional HSE input in Risk Assessments (HAZID, HAZOP) for projects in order to minimize QHSE risks;
• Ensure proper preparation of JSA's and proper toolbox talks onboard are conducted;
• Ensure that records are kept as per procedures;
• Ensure that Permit to Work (PtW) system and Lock out/ Tag Out [LOTO] Systems are implemented and adhered to;
• Provide onboard HSE training and information where and when required;
• Check and report on compliance with the procedures included in the Management System according to existing guidelines, in order to be able to advise the management of projects and ships on potential improvements;
• Register accidents and the related follow-up;
• Carry out Root Cause analysis when required (Kelvin Top-Set);
• Act as Ship Security Officer and advise the Captain on all security matters as per Ship Security Plan;
• Ensure proper maintenance of HSE and Emergency equipment with Chief Engineer in accordance with the Fleet Management System (FMS).

Requirements

• Bachelor degree (HVK or equivalent);
• At least three years relevant offshore experience or experience as HSE officer onshore;
• A flexible colleague with good communication, analytical and reporting skills;
• Good command of written and spoken English;
• Your skills will be needed worldwide, and you must be prepared to spend shorter or longer periods of time abroad.
