Job description- Reporting directly to the VMS/Electrical Supervisor, this position will see you performing daily inspections and maintenance on all electronic equipment on board the rig.
- Maintain, troubleshoot and repair Smart Drilling Instrumentation including PLCs and computer associated equipment
- Be able to troubleshoot and repair VMS (Kongsberg) systems and all sub systems (including CCTV)
- Keep up to date records on maintenance, upgrades, inspections and ensure planned maintenance is carried out in accordance with PMS guidelines and is scheduled with departmental supervisors
- Keep clear communication lines with on and offshore support
Qualifications- Electronic Technology/Engineering degree or High School Diploma
- Experienced in calibration of analogue and digital transmitters
- Conversant with documentation in relation to Loop diagrams, ladder diagrams and Flow charts
- Compliant with all regulatory certification required for the ET position
