Responsibilities: Cooperates closely with the Chief Engineer and Master on company vessels; Provides full electrical support to the fleet; Create an environment of continuous improvement; Identify, manage and monitor risks from electrical systems and equipment; Advise on the electrical operations of all vessels owned or operated by the group; Liaise closely with the vessels’ masters and chief engineers to ensure the vessels are well maintained; Carry out inspections to verify the accuracy of the planned maintenance system; Ensure that accident and incidents are reported and investigated and corrective actions taken with regard to electrical systems and equipment; Ensure that all personnel under the control of the superintendent are suitably qualified; Liaise with applicable Flag & Class on electrical issues; Assisted vessels in planned maintenance system training.
Directs: Any member of the vessels electrical department.
Knowledge, Skills & Ability Required: Working knowledge of DP operations; Knowledge of IMCA guidelines related to DP maintenance; Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language.
Experience & Education: Qualified in DP Maintenance;
Must have experience as an ETO or Chief Electrical Officer on board DP vessels. crew@seatrucksgroup.com
