E/I Engineer Description For one of our clients we are looking for an E/I Engineer (Offshore department)
Our client is a steel construction company, which is, among others, involved in the projects in offshore oil&gas industry.
Your responsibilities as an E/I Engineer will be: Assist subcontractors with (practical) designs; Assist with composing technical purchasing specifications; Evaluations with technical specialist from clients' and suppliers' side; Inspection / supervision of the subcontractors and suppliers; Supervision of the installer during the installation and testing onshore / offshore; Technical support to the sales department in proposal phases; Technical review of offers from vendors and suppliers; Defining and co-writing the work priorities (most/least important) in the engagement phase to the client; Co-evaluating the requests for the work priorities to suppliers / subcontractors; Support the service division, for example in process or electrical problems or in the system testing; Tracking developments in your field through literature.
The work will be done mainly from the business establishment but may, if necessary, be done (shortly) abroad / offshore. Requirements The requirements for the ideal candidate for the position of E/I Engineer are: Minimum completed secondary Electrical Engineering; Minimum 5 years demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in the field of electrical engineering, control engineering and control technology for industrial applications; Experience in setting up or improving control schemes; Knowledge of PLC technology; Practical insight, concerning the manufacture of electrical installations; Fluency in Dutch, English and preferably in German language.
