Reports to: Production Supervisor, Production Services General Responsibilities: To maximize Production by ensuring the safe and effective operation of the plant and equipment. Duties: Responsible for the safe and optimum operation of the hydrocarbon process by monitoring and controlling production plant and equipment, protective systems (fire and gas and ESD) and all support and utility systems (include Ballast Control). Initiate and co ordinate response instructions during emergency situations. Responsible for taking actions to prevent or rectify abnormal plant and production situations, to take whatever executive action is necessary to achieve this but at all times to minimize any risk of harm to personnel, environmental damage, or asset damage. Prepare daily production reports and logs. Ensure that all record keeping and production reports and logs. Ensure that all record keeping and production reporting is carried out on time and to the required standards. Analyzing production data and process behaviour to ensure the early identification of trends and problems. Monitor and direct Production Operators out on the plant to ensure continuity of operations and timely implementation of production routines. Assist with planning and scheduling of routine shutdown and shutdown maintenance. Responsible for Identification of plant, equipment, and process isolations within the bounds of the Permit to work systems and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Careful monitoring, and where necessary control and supervision of the Permit To Work system. Responsible for administration of the PTW system and all associated certification, recording, log keeping, and document control. Must be fully aware, and if required involved in all ongoing work on or around the plant or associated equipment and systems. Deputising for the Production Supervisor. Fulfil the allocated responsibilities of the Divisional and Vessel Safety Management Systems. Input to and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environmental yearly performance targets for Maintenance activities. Monitor against these targets and propose these targets and propose actions to achieve these. Carry out risk assessment exercises and direct maintenance teams in toolbox talks as appropriate. Regularly review and monitor compliance with safe work systems and maintenance procedures. Fulfil the allocated responsibilities of the Divisional and Curlew Safety Management Systems. Develop and monitor Health, Safety and Environmental yearly performance targets for Maintenance activities. Monitor against these targets and propose actions to achieve or maintain compliance. Carry out risk assessments; HAZOP, HAZID, as requested or as necessary to ensure legislative compliance. Any reports should recommend improvements or adjustment to enhance operational safety or efficiency. Monitor compliance with maintenance procedures and safe systems of work through regular review and audits including regular offshore visits. Authority levels are detailed in the Contractors Corporate Management System Directive of Authority Manual. Understands the company safety policy requirements in relation to work tasks undertaken ensuring at all times work is progressed with good working practice being observed and with particular regard for personal safety and the safety of others.
