Job description
Assist the Master in the daily operations of the vessel to standards laid down by the Company, Owner, Charterer and Statutory regulations.
Reports to: Master of the vessel.
Scope of Duties: Ensure the vessel is safely navigated and operated in accordance with:
Watch keeping standards laid down in the International Convention of Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for Seafarers 1995 (STCW ’95).
The Convention on International Regulations for Prevention of Collisions at Sea 1972 (COLREG 1972).
SOLAS Convention including amendments.
Flag Regulations.
The ISM Code as applicable.
The ISPS Code.
Ensure that when he is in charge of the vessel it is navigated in accordance with the terms of reference laid down in Master’s Duties and in accordance with the Master’s Standing / Night Orders.
Assist in ensuring that the vessel’s working operations are conducted in a safe way that avoid personal injury, property and environmental damage.
Instruct and encourage crew under his supervision to work safely.
Promote and comply with Lamnalco OMS policies and procedures.
Report any deficiencies in relation to equipment, process, procedure and / or crew training to the Master.
Job requirements
Certificate of Competency in accordance with STCW95 and national regulations.
Certificate of Medical Fitness in accordance with ILO requirements
A minimum experience of 2 years ASD experience on dual control type vessels
Must be fluent in English
Must have experiences of towing/ anchor handling, rig moves and rig position and hose handling operations (SBM related) and relevant experience in the terminal services.
