Description For one of our clients we are looking for a Barge Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay.
A Barge Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay is responsible for the planning and co-ordination of daily activities of the deck construction department and has to ensure that all works are carried out in a safe manner.
Your responsibilities as a Barge Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay will be: Follow company policies and procedures and make sure that all safety guidelines are followed; Ensure that all personnel are properly trained in the tasks appointed to them; Co-ordinate construction activities throughout the vessel; Ensure the superintendent is kept fully informed of potential problems and the construction status; Ensure via consultation with the Superintendent that the manning levels are maintained as required for the job on hand and plan the crew rotation for his personnel; Interface with the various departments on board to ensure smooth operations. Requirements The requirements for the ideal candidate for the position of Barge Foreman Shallow Water Pipe Lay are:
At least secondary vocational degree; At least five years experience as barge foreman on a mayor offshore pipe lay vessel; Knowledge of Pipe-lay systems and operations, ability to read blueprints, procedural and equipment drawings, knowledge of pull in, familiar with Pin brazing, CAD welding and pipe cut to length measuring, familiar with crane signaling; Completion of safety trainings; Flexibility and immune to stress; Excellent communication skills; A good command of the English language; Willingness to work abroad.
