| | | Job description- This position will see you assisting the Chief Engineer in maintenance and operations of all the main population plant, ancillary plant machinery and all other controlling systems of the vessel.
- You will report to the Chief Engineer and 1st Engineer and take responsibility for supervising the 3rd Engineer and the motormen on board.
- Ensure that operations are maintained in accordance with international regulations and company standards
- Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of all relevant equipment and keep continual dialogue with the departments on board
- Maintain strong maintenance records and provide assistance to the Chief Engineer in ensuring all equipment is fit for purpose

Job location | Qualifications- Hold a valid National Certificate of Competence (CoC) without restrictions and an endorsement issued by the Flag Authority
- Be STCW 95 certified and hold all required training for 2nd Engineer
- Have served as an engine room operator on a DP semi- submersible or drillship
- Be familiar with Kongsberg Consoles
- Caterpillar 3600 series experience
- Offshore survival Course (HUET, BOSIET etc)
- Successfully demonstrate physical ability to perform essential job functions
- Must successfully pass pre-employment physical examination
- Must be able to comply with company rules
